Mid-Atlantic Audio Circle gathering December 6

Hello MAACers and DC area audio nuts,

You are invited to the upcoming audio circle gathering on Saturday December 6 at my house in Vienna, VA from noon to 9 or so. For those who have attended previously at Woodsyi's house, mine is about 4 miles north of his.

I am open to ideas about a theme. One thing I've been thinking about is a shootout of feet, blocks, spikes, rollers, pads, and whatall that go under components. I can supply Cardas wood blocks and plumbers' neoprene/cork feet. If you've got something you want to show off let me know.

My host system should be as follows. Of course this is subject to change.
Table: Thorens TD-125 with some mods
Arm: SME 3009 sII with Cardas rewire and bronze bearing
Cart: Denon DL-160
CD transport: Denon DVD-2910
DAC: Tube Audio Design TADAC
Preamps: Modwright SWP 9.0SE Signature and Music Reference RM-5II
Amps: Music Reference RM-200 and Odyssey Stratos

Thanks for hosting the December get-together. I will try to re-arrange things so I can join you. I don't have any component supports to speak of, so maybe I can make up for that by bringing some interesting beer.

Hi Scott,
Did you sell your Thiel and get VMPS? I wish I could attend, but I have a class to attend that weekend. If you don't mind, perhaps I can swing by some other time. I have finite elemente ceraballs and cerapucs, and some graphite blocks that I can bring with me during the visit.

Sorry you can't make it on the 6th. Any chance you could drop off your balls, pucs, and blocks for the MAAC? Yes, I did sell the Thiels and bought VMPS RM30M speakers. The VMPS's are generally better suited to my little listening room. I hope to see you soon.

Hmm ... very interesting. Saturday the 6th is my company's Holiday party in Vienna/Fairfax. I have to RSVP by Monday. I wonder what they'd say if I were to put down 10 guests along with myself? We could then crash the party at 6:00 P.M. for lots of free beer, wine, shrimp, etc.
