Are these AMPS any good?

Has anyone heard these amplifiers? Want to know what kind of sound they have for SS types.

The second one may be more familiar.

2. http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/mccormack/dna500.html

Really don't know much about these companies either.  :dunno:

McCormack is nice stuff.  Clayton - serious top of the heap.  Some of the best SS, Class A (real class A) amps I've ever heard.  If you can afford them, you'll not find much of anything better IMO.  Balls and control of a SS design, mids and imaging of a tube design, highs - sweet but still detailed.

McCormack has been around a while and has a very good following. I had a few in the past.

I have not personally heard the Clayton amps (yet) but my partner is a dealer for them and has had all the models with the M300s currently running in his showroom.
We actually did some evaluations on the Purity and Purity Extreme preamp with the M300 Clayton amplifiers prior to sending them to RMAF.
