What are we doing?

At times, I wonder why I bother pursuing high-fidelity music reproduction.  Let's face it, it doesn't matter how accurate the gear is while I'm singing along with the music at the top of my voice!

JJ Cale is sounding really good right now.   Of course, if the stereo didn't sound so good, I may not be so enthusiastic with my singing...

Sounds like you have a lack of power issue. A good system should be able to drown you out with ease. :lol:

Isn't our love of music and art what drives this?  Sort of like building an altar to it?  I'm kidding, I think it's that we want the purest connection possible for the purest communication.  Some guys go nuts for fishing.  Boats, expensive gear, lots a time on the lake.  Is it escapism?  Meditation?  Maybe it's just where we go where when we're not screwing things up.  To drink from the well and do no harm.
