I am awaiting the arrival of a 4B-ST to drive my ML Quests. I have listened to this set up through a friend and it is definately not a problem. ML speakers need high current and wattage and the Bryston's are very stable. Your model (SST) is even better so go for it!

thank you guys. the reason why i am asking is that the average customer in this forum isn't using a ML, Maggie and/or Quads i think.
most of us own ''regular'' speakers (just as i do...) now that prices for panel speakers are compareable low it might be a nice option for me.
and as always all your inputs from out there is much, much appreciated as it helps me to make up my mind and it is interesting, too.

I went from a JM Lab 936 to the Quests after listening to them...........I will never turn back! Panel speakers are fussy but once you get them set up properly, they will blow your mind. I rebuilt the ones I got with new panels and a modified crossover to update however even if you own older models, they are very comparable to what is out there now.

Of course they are not for everyone as they are demanding on power and very revealing but set up in the right way, they is no equal in my book. Audition first to be sure you will like them.

When you have listened to planar speakers everything else will sound slooow, and there is a serious chance you might get hooked for life.
Even in another room you here the speed and tremendous clarity planars provide.

alexone,

James has written quite a bit about using maggies and quads. I know you are looking about info
on ML's but I thought I should mention that you might want to do a search on magnepan and quad in
the Bryston Circle if you haven't already done so. These threads might give you some useful information.
