This is a beautiful amp.

Jonathan Scull of Stereophile loved the V12, finding its sound to be nuanced and airy, with spot-on timing and casting a very deep and colorful image. He declared the V12 a bargain of the first order at $4000 (subsequently raised to $4250) and gave this amp his highest recommendation. The review can be found at www.stereophile.com/tubepoweramps/601cary

I am asking $2000 obo plus shipping.

It is well built, elegant and versatile.

The V12 can be run in Class A triode mode (50 wpc ... stunning). But with the flick of a few switches, it can also be operated in Class-AB "ultralinear" mode (100 wpc ... kick'n yet superb), or mixes of triode and ultralinear. Plus you can fine tune the sound just by changing tubes. It uses 12 EL34 output tubes, a pair of 6922 inputs, and a pair of EL84 drivers.

Last fall I sent this amp back to Cary for a check up after it blew a fuse twice. The amp passed the exam with flying colors but it turned out one of the tubes was bad. I was in the process of moving the week it got shipped back to me, and the place I moved into doesn't have room for my sound system. So the V12 is still sitting in the unopened box from Cary.

This amp is in excellent condition. I will be happy to email you photos I took before shipping to Cary.

It comes with the original manual and an assortment of tubes, including Svetlana SED EL34s, Soviet 6922s, Philips Miniwatts, and some others.

The V12 will be shipped double-boxed and weighs around 80 pounds. The tubes will be shipped in a separate box.

It's worth the asking price, so no lowballers please. Thanks for looking.
