It describes the new speaker system designed by the Serbian engineer behind the RAAL ribbon tweeter.

HF section is omni, with 15 ribbon tweeters;
MF section is omni, with 18 - 3" cones
LF section is described as cardioid, with 5 - 15" drivers in the most compact form factor imaginable.

It also gets a great write up in 6moons in the industry features section under road tour Serbia and exit Raal.

The pricing of the RAAL ribbons is high, but still realistic for the performance level which is very high.

I imagine this one is aimed at the very well heeled, given the talk of limited editions of 12 for the cast bronze woofer enclosure.

There is a down-market version also mentioned in the 6moons article.

There is nothing intrinsically expensive in the concept, though, so I imagine one could experiment with the configuration with pretty cheap drivers and see some interesting results. Really, I think the configuration is the clever part in this.

What a cool bit of engineering and workmanship.  I'll look forward to seeing and hearing this at RMAF.  Thanks for sharing as I'd never heard of them before.

Reading the long but fascinating 6moons article, it seems Alex is estimating "less than €55,000" which would be roughly $82,000 including the 300 watt tube amps for the bass.

The "Instinct" (cheaper model with 4 ribbons, a 4 sided upper enclosure and 8" woofers) is expected to come in at less than half that.
