LS36.5 & PS Power Consumption
« on: 17 Sep 2008, 08:03 am »
Hi Dan,

I'm calculating my future system's total power consumption to purchase an AC conditioner with appropriate amperage load/supply.

How much current in Watts or Amps (@220-240VAC) would the LS36.5 consume in full operations?  And the same for the preamp + PS combo, in case I decided to upgrade or purchase both units?

I have no knowledge at all about tubes but noticed they can be changed to alter sound character.  Should I spare some extra current draw on the LS36.5 & PS for different kind of tubes?  Please advise.

Best wishes for your upcoming RMAF 2008 show.

Regards,
Klao

On the road to Bonn today. At 120 volts the line source draws 55 watts at listening levels.

The two-box unit will draw no more than 100W.

Thanks,

Dan
