Question about selling price
« on: 12 Sep 2008, 01:11 am »
I built my GR Research Kit about 2 1/2 years ago now. I have only used them about 20 times in that time frame, and I am wondering what I should sell them for. I work full time, go to school full time, have a side business and spend a lot of time helping at church functions, so I don't have free time at all.

I have:

2 AV-3
1 AV-3S
2 AV-3RS
1 12" Sub and Apex Senior Plate Amp

The cabinets and speaker are in new condition, but I am sure they will need to be refinished since they were colored to my HT (greyish blue and a dark blue for the rear surrounds).

I am not looking to make a fortune on them, but I know that my time is worth something. I am a professional woodworker, so all of the cabinet work is top notch.

Love to hear what you guys think....

You probably could get better feedback if you had some pictures of your work...

I agree. Pics will go a long way.

Most of the fully assembled kits out there sell for a little more than just the cost of the new kit. There is often a lot of people that want the product but are not DIY types and don't want to do the assemble work themselves.

If they look really nice you mi

I am in North Central WV, and I will post pics tonight of the speakers.

Honestly, I would be willing to sell them right now for 2 grand if someone came and picked them up so I didn't have to worry about shipping. I never use them and it is a shame they are not being enjoyed.

Here are pics of the speakers as they sit right now

They are obviously dusty from the current working condition of the house since I am gutting and redoing a bathroom and kitchen

Looks good...however you may get a better price if you paint them another color... :thumb:

I know I probably would, but will all that is going on in my life right now, I do not have time.

Here is the Ebay Auction for them if anyone would like an awesome set of speakers.
