Today we were in the process of assembling the third pair of new SongTower RT's (ribbon tweeter/aluminum front baffle). Just by coincidence, at the very same time I received a call from Paul who originally ordered them. He had heard rumors of the RT version and emailed a while back to see if he could get one of the first pairs. The design hadn't been completed yet, but I said "sure."
Well, when he called today, I obviously had good news for him. But he had some bad news to pass along - he had just lost his job. He said he would take delivery of the speakers if need be but wondered if, under the circumstances, I could help him out.
I told him I would be happy to post the speakers here and perhaps there would be someone who wanted a pair but didn't want to wait to have them built.
The finish on these speakers is American curly cherry that was dyed a medium dark cherry. They feature the new LCY ribbon tweeter and the new machined aluminum front baffle.
