Just finished watching this one....loved every minute! Watching some of the special features on the BD now, and this whole thing is just fascinating. I've always admired Frank Langella, but this performance was far beyond anything I've ever seen him do previously. I love how he talks about not wanting to do an impression, but to truly understand the soul of Nixon and the demons he fought on a daily basis. I also loved how the writer wanted to create something analogous to a boxing match where everything was on the line. There's a part in the film where during one of the faux interviews with Frost's staff, they talk about how Nixon's response to the very first question of the interview was, to Frost, like the first time a challenger feels the sting of the champ's first punch, and how it completely erases and invalidates the months of preparation and research (compared it to pep talks and fighter training).
This is a brilliant film.
