Tube Rolling Experiences with Sig 70.2?
« on: 5 Feb 2011, 12:58 am »
Has anyone tried different tubes in the new (LFP-V) edition of the Sig 70.2?

The change in my Isabella after replacing its original JJ tubes with Gold Lions was well worth the cost so now I'm wondering about different tubes in my Sig 70.2s.

Any comments or suggestions are welcome!

Got pretty much the same setup as you (iMac, Nucleus USB, Isabella/DAC, 70,2s, Devore Nines).  I've got them (Gold Lions) in both my Isabella and 70.2s.  You can expect more of the same sound change as you heard by using the Gold Lions in the Isabella, except that I would say not quite as much of a marked change as with the Isabella.  Good Luck!

Thanks for the reply Jason, I've just ordered a pair, they'll be here by the end of the week!

And if anyone has tried different tubes, feel free to post comments.

Regards,

Dan.

All,

I just started an LFP-V Edition tube-rolling thread here in the RWA forum!
