Cornet parts question
« on: 5 Dec 2003, 03:41 am »
Jim,
What's Cornet total current consumption for both chanels?
I'd like to design LC type power supply filter for Cornet.
Also, do you use parts (capacitors and resistors) sourced from mouser in Trampet ? Or you use some boutique parts there?

Thanks
Sergey

Cornet parts question

I don't think I ever measured input current to Cornet.  B+ runs at about 17mA, the 5V heater at 2 amps, and the 6V heaters at 0.9 amps.  That's about 22 watts.  With some losses, maybe 0.2 amps out of the wall.

An LC high voltage section would be nice.  You'll need a different tranny.

I use a lot of Mouser parts in the Trumpet.  And a few boutique pieces.  I buy from about ten different places to make up the total.  Some straight from factory, some custom (like the chassis).

jh :)
