Mid warrenty check up and a face lift?
« on: 22 Aug 2008, 01:32 pm »
Bill,

It's summer time and I have been running a SS amp to keep the room reasonably cool.  While I have the amps out of the loop, can I send them to you to check their health and possibly power coat the transformer covers like we discussed a couple of years ago?  May be even the face plate?  Do you still have the Hanes color chart I sent you?   My cat snuck in once and tipped one amp and busted the IEC inlet.  I replaced it with a Furutech Rhodium inlet (from Chris V.) but the wire is just screwed in and the wire is just a tad short.  It may need professional help.  I could also use bigger screws on the bottom cover and anything else you came up with for the extreme mods since you did mine.  If you are busy, it can wait until next year.

Thanks.

Hi Woodsyi,
Way to wait till the last minute...summer is almost over  In all honesty, my benches are very full right now with mod work and now that we have released the Purity preamp, I am busy getting these built as well.
If you can give me a few weeks to get caught up, no problem. Going through the Extreme Canes is a big job as we do a thorough check-up on them. I don't want to tie them up to long. If we can schedule a time, i can turn them around in a timely manner.
I do still have access to the deep red powder coat we spoke of some time ago. I will have to get in touch with my powder coater to confirm he still has it in stock.
 Let me know your thoughts.

You calling me a procrastinator?  Well, I am.

Yes, check on the availability of powder paint for me and just let me know when you have time.  It's a want more than a need.  So, take your good paying customer's first and let me know when you have time.
