DIYCable Vacation --- 1st Week of Aug
« on: 31 Jul 2008, 09:39 pm »
Hey... I'm closing down the first week of August to spend some vacation time with my family.   I should have all the orders cleaned up before I leave, I think I have one backorder that is still waiting for parts from DACT but otherwise everyone should have their goodies in the mail, on the UPS truck or otherwise in transit.

I'll be back in action on Saturday the 9th.     If you need something during that time, like a heart transplant, brain surgery or any other critical need, check with someone else or nurse it along until I get back.

I won't be taking the laptop to check email.   I figure everyone will live without me for a week.

Hope you and the fam have some nice time off. Don't worry we'll still be here when you get back!

Enjoy your time off Kevin!  I will delay my brain surgery until you return.   :)

I am, of course, not Kevin...

I've never seen a purple cow,
and I hope I never see one.
But, I'd rather see a purple cow...
than be one!

Ahh...the soul of the poet seems to pervade my prose.

Chris, just to remind you that last year I had told everyone that I'd need to leave as soon as Kevin called from the Ferry Terminal. His cell phone didn't work in Canada, so instead of using the payphone, he took a cab.
I'll be coming on Friday or Saturday, and will attempt to overcome any of Kevin's silly excuses (work, family, major surgery, nuclear war, etc.) and get him up there where he needs to be for some serious Male bonding.

BTW, are you bringing your crowbar again this year? :green:

Best Regards,
TerryO

Unfortunately an immovable object in the form of a niece's wedding (the first of perhaps too many to contemplate over the next few years) will prevent me from attending the main day's festivities, and I may well miss much of the tribal chanting and bonding around the firepit on the first evening.

Additionally, by the time of the event,  meticulous planning and project management by senior Planet10 administration should have obviated the need for further destructive maintenance of the main venue areas.   Wink2   However, if anything has been overlooked, perhaps we can recruit recent veterans in attendance to assist with any heavy lifting.
