I thought messing with the music was anathema to audiophiles?  As a listener I don't really want to be an armchair mastering engineer, adding EQ, compression and sound effects.  That stuff's supposed to be done for me already.  Hmm.  Whereas end user RTA\EQ devices exist to serve the goal of flatness this software seems to favor guilty pleasure subjectivity.  I thought that kind of monkey business was for the boom car ruffians and slobbering MP3 masses.  Surely not the principled straight wire audiophiles, right?

That said, it IS kind of cool to have all those FX in one place.  The Ambience slider ain't bad in moderation.  It does in a hackneyed way what I wish more record makers would do; allow room sound into the signal.  Super Bass...well bass EQ is always a mixed blessing.  I feel slightly dirty using it, as much as it makes my bass-shy Sennhesier headphones sound like I wish they would.

Cool software, but evil…
