A/V-1 price is the pair; A/V-1C price is each.  There's small print on the bottom of the page showing that.

You'll have to ask Danny the difference...maybe just the packaging of a single speaker.  He answers emails promptly.

The single one is fully shielded so that it can be used as a center channel and placed near standard TV's. All else is the same.
