Chris, any differences yet in the midrange and treble vs the TP2.0?  I think the mini has the upgraded tweeter and xover that the TP3.0 has.

:D  Hey seriously, I would consider a trade and cash for my Minis for a pair of continuums, I love the Minis but would do that if someone would part with them, the only speaker presently I would trade them for.

 :duh:

Well, don't forget that new timepiece 3.0s that are ordered today can be upconverted to the Mini-Revelation down the line, and thus also provide a nice upgrade path.  This will perform anechoic down to about 25hz with a 2nd order roll off below that, which I am sure will be quite sufficient for most rooms.

I wonder if Bob could come up with some sort of Micro-Revelation (based off of Minis rather than Timepiece 3.0's)?

It seems that a Continuum-mini is in the works, but who knows when Bob will get to it.  R&D time is money.

I bet the farm on the Timepiece => Mini-Revelation route, so that's what I'm cheering for ;)  I want to sample that hybrid t-line bass.  I've heard amazing things about the tech he's used in the TP and mini-TP, and the hybrid T-line just sounds over the top.  If a Continuum-mini were converted to a hybrid t-line, that might also be very interesting, but the elegance of the TP/mini-revelation 2way has its appeal.

The Revelations are a true transmission line, all other models of Bob's speakers use Hybrid-T-Line which gives you most but not all that T-Line offers. I would assume that the Mini Revelations will be true T-Line as well.

I've spoken to Bob, and if I have things correctly in my head - Bob's Revelation series T-lines are proprietary and certainly different from his non revelation box alignment :thumb:  However, both are proprietary  aa

In other words, those Revelations are not just a plain vanilla T-Line    aa aa aa   They're out of this world! 8)

They are full transmission line with a twist as they say. Bob believes that the other transmission line designers do not have the full story and as a result are unable to extract the full value from TLine. So yes it is slightly different to a standard TLine which is very good bass wise in the first place and far better than ported which is not as tight and drops off rapidly at F's.

However we want to summarize it up into one all encompassing label, suffice to say that it is an elegant solution that combines the best of many worlds.

You're a legend letting your speakers out on an audition tour. Can't wait till he tries the mini's in his home theater.

I think he will be surprised how much the waveguide adds to the presentation for Home Theater.
