Im looking to take a class or buy a video on how to solder. Anyone know of any workshops or videos available in NYC?

Paul always have the best sources of information on the net. 

I would just say to do a little searching on the net, cause there are lots of good tutorials on how to solder properly.  Then buy yourself a cheap electronics kit off ebay or elsewhere, even junked electronics and practice soldering and de-soldering components.

http://solder.net/technical/iPodtips.asp has some great video tutorials.  Beware of some of the videos on Utube.  There are a lot of hacks that think they know how to solder.
