Clipping your SDE (DCX2496)

As many might have been reading, we are now getting deeper and deeper into the SDE (Special Digital Edition) models and applications.

One of my clients had expressed reservation of the system due to his previous experience with another speaker that would "overload" the 2496 because it required a significant boost to the signal, sometimes driving it into "protection" circuitry.

This is not a problem with the VMPS SDE models, since the drivers are very close in the tolerances needed and as B has stated, require smaller and even "micro" type adjustments through the FR.

Just wanted to put everyone's mind at ease who might have run into that overload anomaly.
