28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later

Just watched these two movies on DVD.  Really enjoyed them a lot.  Imagine "I am Legend" made by a highly-talented independent filmmaker, and you get these two movies.  Smart, suspenseful, and just a bit gory....

I agree 100% Phil, I watched one of these right after seeing I Am Legend and like it better and it gave me more of the terror etc... I seek in such movies.  But what do we expect from I Am Legend, it's designed to make 200 million dollars when all the dust clears and allow the star actor and director to stick their toe in the water and give the masses a consumable watered down version of something more authentic.

Like when most people travel and get the "tourist" version of whatever...

First I am a zombie movie fanatic. Ive put up with some bad zombie movies... They are both good, I think the first is much better than the second.

Another zombie movie to check out, with humor, is Shaun of the Dead... very funny.

I thought 28 days later was much stronger, but they are both very good zombie movies. I'll second Shaun of the Dead and add the new version of Dawn of the Dead, Dellamorte Dellamore, and Fido (the last two are also pretty funny) to the zombie recommendations.

I loved the first two...now I am looking out for the next installment...28months later....and hopefully much later, 28 years later.
I am a sucker for apocalyptic movies..."predicting or presaging imminent disaster and total or universal destruction"  :thumb:

Just watched both, liked them too. Seriously fast acting zombie juice! Like the new millenium high energy zombie thing. They must need to drink at least 20 glasses of water per day to stay hydrated enough to keep that wicked level of zombie slobber going!

I liked "Days" much more than "Weeks", though the latter had its moments. I felt it started strongly but sorta feel into convention towards the end...when a "certain" character kept showing up all over the place. Still, I won't hesitate to check out "Months" whenever it should appear. Hopefully Danny Boyle will be behind the lens for the whole shebang!

As far as I am concerned 28 Days later is the best zombie movie made. 28 weeks was really not that great in comparison to me.

I think they were both really good, though the first one still is the better one in my opinion as well.

I guess I'm in the minority here as I much preferred 28 Weeks Later to 28 Days Later.

Both very good movies, though!!
