There are excellent reference materials out there - lets get them in a FAQ.
And maybe start out own glossary - the ones I have seen were incomplete/inconsistent

Well here's something good.
This is a course of sorts that was put together by Verne Hansen, who is one of Ray Kimber's engineers, as well as a professor at Weber State. It's very good reading on basic concepts of electronics.
I recommend it even for those who are "seasoned". Ohh. . and for anyone who works for Transparent.

Robert Harley's "The Complete Book of High End Audio" is very good. He covers alot of topics and was much more down to earth than I'd expected. As a matter of fact it's a pretty good book for anybody.

F. Alton Everest's "The Master Handbook of Acoustics" is also a great book. It's not all for the uninitiated, but it does have a lot of info on how sound behaves.
