Up for sale is my Empirical Audio modded P-3A DAC – Turbomod with modded SuperClock 2.  Included is a modded Monolithic power supply and a Revelation Audio power cable (from Monolithic PS to P-3A DAC – Purple in color).  Plus as an added bonus, the stock output RCA jacks were switched out for a pair of Cardas' best RCA's.  You can see them in the second picture below.  This was normally not offered as part of Steve's mods.

I have given my opinions of my setup in the past.  But as a quick recap – This is a fantastic front end.  The sound is explosively powerful with sweet extended highs.  Most of you who are familiar with Steve Nugent know how good his work is.

The Turbomodded SuperClock DAC with the modded Monolithic Power Supply and Revelation Audio power cable cost me over $3000 to put together.  I am selling it for $1499 plus actual shipping and insurance plus 2.5% of the total if you want to pay with PayPal.

I would guess that it would be pretty tough to acquire this kind of performance at this price.

As somewhat of a compliment, if someone wants to purchase the above items and wants this item as well, I will also sell them my Empirical Audio modded Pioneer PD-65 transport.  For those not familiar with the PD-65, it is one overbuilt unit -- especially the transport section.  The CD is placed on a platter (just like a turntable) with the label side down.  The laser reads from top-down.  By spinning the CD on a platter instead in free air, a lot of the mechanical jitter is eliminated. You can see how beefy the platter is in the last photo below.
Steve’s mod makes this unit a transport only.  The stand alone CD player capability has been disabled.  The unit Steve has pictured on his website is in fact this PD-65.  He describes in detail what was done to it -- http://www.empiricalaudio.com/ .  Plus, he added an unmodded SuperClock 2.  This unit, with Steve’s mods and the SuperClock 2 cost me $1400.  I will sell this for $599.  So for the price of just the mods, you would also get the unit itself and an installed superClock 2.

     Thanks for looking,
               Steve
