Dynaco A-50 midrange repair
« on: 7 Apr 2008, 12:54 am »
I picked up a set of what were listed as Dynaco A-50s  tonight for $20. They sound pretty good. I haven't really put them to the test, but they seem pretty nice. Hopefully someone can answer a couple of questions about them for me.
First, the cone on one of the midranges looks like it's pulling away from the sorround. Either that or it's tearing away. It doesn't seem to impact the sound so far, but I'd like to get it fixed/replaced. The number on the back of the driver is FE10BP45-114F. I did a search but couldn't find these. Can someone steer me in the right direction and shed some light on these for me? Thanks.
Second, the label on the back of the cabinet says "dynaco OPTIONS A-50." Is the "OPTIONS" just part of the label or is it some off-shoot brand? Thanks again.
