I use 1970's Russian 7189 and like them. Upscale Audio sells them for $15 each. Worth considering.

Thanks Don.  I have a quad of Russian in my Scott 222C right now but wanted to try either some vintage USA or European tubes.  I've been swapping in vintage European tubes for the more important parts like the 12ax7/ECC83, 6u8/ECF82, and GZ34.  The 7189 tubes have the least influence on the sound, so I'm not as driven to replace them with European.
