Hi,

Anyone looking to "upgrade" or otherwise put their curly maple Dodd battery preamp up for adoption?  If so, I have a home for it I think you would be happy with.  Mom and Dad LS-6 are having trouble conceiving and are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to create a loving home.  In the meanwhile, Mom is considering going on fertility treatment.

Why not just ordering directly from Gary?? $2500 price-tag doesn't seem to be too "unreasonable" for a such a great piece. You can go to ebay and buy any kind of fancy wood and send it to Gary.

I thought they were $3,300?  Not sure that would be "unreasonable" either but it is probably more than I should be spending on a preamp for myself - I'm still new to this and enjoying exploring this hobby.  Presumably it's better for everyone at Dodd if I go used Dodd than choose something else.  If he is selling them new for $2,500 as you mention I might just go for that but I was really looking at $2,000 or under and could get the ModWright 9.0 or Audio Horizons 2.1 for that.
