NetGear ReadyNAS Slimserver upgrade?
« on: 31 Mar 2008, 03:50 pm »
I have a Netgear ReadyNAS NV+ with built-in Slimserver.
Works OK with my 2000 song library and one SB3.

It's an aging version (not sure exactly which one), and the FW in my SB is v67 (I think)

There is, as it happens, a download off Slimdevices website for a new version to run on my ReadyNAS.
Has anybody attempted an upgrade using this?

I'm worried that the upgrade will fail, something will get screwed up, etc etc.
It's not that I _have_ to upgrade, my stereo wouldn't reveal any shortcomings (Super-T amp, Insignia speakers, free cables...), so I figured I'd ask you guys before taking any upgrade steps

I have pretty much the earliest version of ReadyNas 600 with 256 MB memory.  The latest SC 7 works as good as the older version and I have over 10K songs on it. I don't know what you downloaded at Slim website but you need to go to Infrant site http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=16965&st=0&sk=t&sd=a to get your ReadyNas SC upgrade.
