Just wondering if anyone knows the quality of the transport in the new AVD-s700/500ES units. I need an HT receiver soon, and want to go digital. At this point, I think the Sony 3000 or 500ES are the ticket, it just depends on whether the inboard circuitry of the new 500ES can better an analog input top end SACD player via the 3000ES. Thoughts? Speculations? Conjecture?
P.S. Why are all the 70/50ES posts in the two channel forum? Maybe this time next year the "multi and digital" forum will be the default general hangout, eh?
