Very, very funny movie.  Probably one of the best comedies I've seen in a couple of years.

Good movie, the film is funny but in a particular way (the wording escapes me), my theater was full of old people and I seemed to be the only one laughing most times.  It's that kind of witty and sharp humor that you chuckle at more so than laugh out loud.  I was constantly thinking in my head: that's funny and smiling.  The lead "Juno" is smart, sassy and direct.  If she were my kid I'd have gone crazy in a hurry.  I need something milder.

There was a point in the movie that just got real creepy and I was just hoping they wouldn't go that route.  You saw it coming but when the moment hit, I was getting uncomfortable.

Yo, Joey Bags-  I saw about a 30 second clip from this a couple of weeks ago and that actress knocked for a loop!  Naturally
nonchalant but oh so present!  Freakin hilarious scene, too.  Be seein this.

I took my wife to this figuring I was doing her a favor, and ended up liking the movie very much. 8)
It was a sold out show in one of the bigger DLP theaters, and the crowd actually started clapping at the end.

Ellen Page rocks!  If you haven't seen it, you have to check out here work in "Hard Candy."  A true masterpeice.  She's truly a gifted actress, and someone to keep an eye on.

I'd give it 3.5

The first half hour is horrible being trapped inside the lame pseudo-hip verbage of somewhat contemporary high schoolers combined with the nasty stereotypical yuppie world of the potential adoptive parents.

After that it gets going.  The mom and dad had the best parts.  Jennifer Garner came off like a dopey cow with her husband not being any better and the main characters boyfriend was a board also.

So yeah, 3 of the main characters were cardboard cutouts.

I'm 37 and felt a bit old for the movie.  Not horrible but 5 stars is a cracking limb for me.

Very, very funny movie.  Probably one of the best comedies I've seen in a couple of years.

Excellent heart-warming comedy.  Juno is absolutely a self-assured youngster.  Of course, it takes very understanding and caring parents to avoid any disastrous corner-turning in handling the traumatic event.  Are there such "cool" parents around when their kid(s) got into such a predicament?  Like "Over the Rainbow", only in fantasyland that it worked out that way in the movie.  Hollywood probably don't give the Oscar to young Juno, simply thinking she still have years to earn it.

It's hard not to compare this film to "The Snapper", a film that came out of Ireland in the early nineties.  Once your ear is tuned to the accent what you have is a far more tragic, dramatic and hysterically funny film.

If Juno is worth 5 stars, then The Snapper is worth 10 stars.

3/5 from me.

IMO Just an average indy arthouse film.

Dont know why people are loving it so much.

A cute teen lead actress coupled with people being sick of stupid CGI blockbusters?

The dialog was amazing. I was laughing a lot throughout most of the movie. She was cute not just because of how she looked at all. She actually was not that cutest physically girl ever, but the personality they created for her and that she portrayed was one that has never really been pulled off in movies before. People always appreciate the attempt, but this movie did it. This movie never went over the top with anything either. The step mother was completely believable attacking the tech, etc...

The only thing that made this movie all that indy at all was the music. The situation and everything is classic in nature, as well as the story line. The difference here is they really pulled it off unlike other older movies. You might see a lot of characteristics of the girl being indy, but most of it was all innocent and really just a kid being fun and not MTV/cheerleader.

I have no idea how you could not fall in love with the characters in the movie. I felt like Jason Bateman was a little weird but if you were in that situation you probably would be very similar. Juno's friend was not completely like Juno, they were a fair bit different, and that is a pretty realistic thing to be in high school, kind of dies after it.

I mean come on!

"After the raw power of Iggy Pop and The Stooges everything else seems soft" - Juno

"Next time I see that Bleaker kid I am going to punch him right in the weenier" - Juno's dad

Saw "The Snapper", Wind Chaser's right on.  More real and more heartfelt, Juno comes cross as of course a watered down, bubble gum presentation, I enjoyed Juno but "The Snapper" was more enduring.  The father was just great, wasn't expecting to see this role but it made the film for me.  He was to this movie what Juno is to that movie.

I agree snapper is very good. Better. My wife loved Juno. I just didn't see what all the fuss is about. It's all a bit indie-trying too hard.

My wife and I saw it last night with two friends.  I had never heard of the movie prior to going in.  We all enjoyed it a lot. We thought it was very funny, the main actress pulled off the whitty humour quite beleivably.  She made the movie in my mind.

I think if I was expecting a lot, I might not have enjoyed it as much as I did.  I don't really care if Hollywood, the indie press, any press or anyone else liked it, I thought it was quite enjoyable.  Worth the steep price of tickets around here.

My wife and I just watched this movie on DVD. Loved the quirkiness of the storyline and music. Most of the music is by Kimya Dawson.

I'm definitely in the camp that thought it was good, not great. I'm always up for an indy film like this, and I'm glad I saw it, but I didn't think it was as amazing as a lot of others. No Country for Old Men is still my favorite film of last year, I think.

Also caught Charlie Wilson's War last night...talk about stealing the show, Phillip Seymour Hoffman ran away with it! Much better film than I anticipated  :thumb:
