Recording to WAV or FLAC?

Recording to WAV or FLAC?

Does anyone know a way to record directly to WAV or FLAC format from Audacity?  I want to avoid converting to WAV or FLAC after recording.  My PC is not that fast and it takes forever to convert.

Hmmm, I thought it defaulted to WAV.  I then use dbpoweramp to convert into FLAC.

I found that I was exporting to WAV and down-sampling at the same time.  Export to WAV without any conversion is fast.
