Got myself a Squeezebox SB3 so this fella has got to go. Here are the goodies:
Philips 963SA modified as a digital only transport (analog section disabled). No component video available (removed for better sound). No analog audio available. Only regular video to check settings on the unit and change them via the remote control.
Digital modifications:
1) Lundahl digital pulse transformer
2) Canare true 75 ohm digital rca jack
3) Homegrown Audio silver wire for digital section
4) Multiple Blackgate Standard caps.
Power supply modifications:
1) AC socket modified for IEC to accept audiophile grade power cords.
2) CLC filter at the AC input to get rid of nasties in the AC line
3) Black Gate VK large super capacitor
4) Multiple Blackgate Standard caps
5) Jena Labs copper wiring.
Chassis modifications:
1) Plenty of Chassis dampening.
2) Basic Electrostatic shielding.
3) Capacitor damping rings.

Digital input is at the SVideo slot:

**Note, this unit does not have the Bybee filters as pictured above**
There are scratches on the top of the unit, if you place your DAC on top, no one should really notice

. You could also easily spray paint the top cover if you would like. I give it a 6-7/10.
Used as my reference transport for years. I moved all my music to the hard drive so this unit has to go.
$SOLD$,. Paypal and shipping included. Prefer to ship in U.S. but I can ship internationally although shipping is then extra. I have the original Philips boxes, remote, instructions, and even the original component video output board.
For a second music system or a budget digital system, its an excellent unit from a sound quality standpoint. I had no problems with this unit since I've owned it.
Thanks,
Anand.
