Which one sounds better?

Are Continuum A.D. MKIII cabinets made like the S-9?

I haven't heard the Continuum A.D. MKIII, but have heard the S-9.  The S-9 sounds absolutely fantastic, they sound immensely big, and I heard them play low compression pre master big band at live levels in a small/medium hotel ball room sized place.  They didn't miss a beat and threw a big sound stage with big swathes of sound images, similar to what I hear in real life.

However, I would have to go with the Continuum, from what I know.  It should offer refinement all the way around, except possibly speaker disappearing.  The cabinet is built like the rest of SP Tech's Millenial Reference series, i.e. with constrained damping/hybrid t-line.  The S-9 has a cool layered and rigid cabinet but lacks the hybrid t-line, afaik.

Both speakers are exceptional.  I have come full circle on Bob's designs.  I just cannot find anything out there that matches their coherance, imaging, bass, etc.  Nuforce was very smart to have Bob do the initial design work. That being said, the continuum will offer better sound, but is also a larger speaker.  So if space is an issue, go with the Nuforce or Timepiece Mini.  If space is less of an issue go with the Continuums or the Continuum 2.5s.

If you have the room to support it, they will disappear.

If the Revelations can disappear, I *know* the Continuums can.

I've heard the Continuum A.D. and it's a fantastic speaker.  Though the referenced speakers are Continuum 2.5s, you may want to peruse this thread.
