NOO! I didnt get married, you nuts!
I bought a turntable : AKAI AP-B10C...probably borderline not very good,,,but a cheap start...

I also bought the following LP's at the Salvation Army stores,,,basically no scratches or marks on them:

1. RCA Victor's Orthophonic High Fidelity Recording of Horowitz..Beethoven Moonlight and Waldestein Sonatas..

2. Pickwick/33 Records (stereo) of Rimsky-Korsakov's Le Coq D'or Suite and Prokofiev's Love for Three Oranges,,conducted by William Steinberg,,Pittsburgh Symphony Orch.

3. Box set from RCA Victor RedSeal..Arturo Toscanini, Nine Beethoven Symphonies, by the NBC SYmphonic Orch.

4. Decca Gold Label..Medieval Roots by New York Pro Musica..

5. RCA Victor Red Seal box set of The Four Rachmaninoff Concertos, Rhaposody on a Theme of Paganini, by the Philadelphia Orchestra directed by Leo Stokowski, and Eugene Ormandy.

6. RCA Red Seal..Van Cliburn playing Beethoven's Piano Concerto #3 with the Philly Orch. dir by E. Ormandy.

7. RCA Victor Red Seal Dynagroove recording....Leonard Pennario playing Liszt's Concertos 1 and 2 with the London S. orch. dir by Rene Leibowitz.

14. Brand new RCA Living Presence excellent version of Pics at an Exhib/

15. Mercury Living Presence's 1812 Overture...awesome!

Oh, and to compare with the CD's, I bought YES's Drama and Stings Dream of the blue turtles....and Mike Oldfields Tubular Bells.

I also did the first upgrade which was to install a Grado Prestige Blue cartridge,,,boy it sounds good now!

Give them a good cleaning and enjoy, some of those should sound very very good.
