Selling my Lampizator Baltic 3 DAC. It is in excellent shape.
When I ordered it I asked if it could have a switch to choose between a 6v or a 12v heater supply for the 6SN7 position. This allows you to use either a 6SN7 or 12SN7, or various other tubes with similar specs and an appropriate pin adaptor ...if necessary. This is great because 12SN7 tubes sound the same as a 6SN7 but do not have the crazy prices. I have used 6SN7, 12SN7, ECC40, 6F8G, 7N7, 14N7, and 2C50 tubes. Lots of choices. The DAC has several different digital inputs with an especially good USB implementation. It has both single ended and true balanced outputs.
I am the first and only owner. The DAC is in excellent shape and sounds wonderful. The only issue during the time I have owned it is that during shipping three coupling capacitors loosened but they were easily resecured locally with approval by Lampizator of North America. This has been a true end game DAC for me. I am selling because we have moved from a house with a dedicated listening room to a condo where I no longer have the space to use speakers. I am moving to a simple headphone system for now.
We can discuss which tubes will come with it.
I bought this new from Lampizator NA for $6000. I am asking for $3450. Buyer pays for shipping in CONUS. I have the original box and packing. Payment by PP G&S. I will absorb the fees.
Pickup in Walnut Creek, CA is an option.
Best,
Paul
