Just got myself a pair of Strata Minis and now need to pick up a good amp to run them with.
I've already got a receiver that does HT (panasonic XR57) but want something warmer and beefier for 2channel music.
My budget is $2000 tops.
My room is 22x11 and I listen to mostly world music and alternative rock at moderately loud levels ~100db.
What are you guys using?
Tube or SS?
Integrated or separates?
Any recommendations?
Thanks,
Raz
I have an Odyssey Khartago too and it certainly fits your criteria of <$2,000 and "warmer and beefier" than the Panasonic. You could even go Stratos for $2,000, which would add even more "beef."

I also agree with Sean about the 38 watt Onix SP3. It was surprisingly good with the not very efficient Strata Minis, but if you like listening to alternative rock at 100 db you'll need more power than the Onix can deliver. A solid state Amp with a tubed pre is what I have and it sounds very good with the Minis.
