I have for sale a Welborne Labs Ultrpath Battery Powered Preamp. The preamp is in great shape. I'm selling it for 2 reasons.
1. I didn't realize the batteries would be exposed. I have a 18 month old and a newborn on the way so I'm not too hot on having batteries sitting out.
2. The preamp has too much gain for my system.
I did listen to the Ultrapath on a very low volume setting and the sound was fantastic--quiet, natural, and well balanced.
This is the newest version of the Ultrapath with the appealing wood and aluminum case. Comes w/ remote, original tubes, all cables, manual, charger, and 2 pretty much new pairs 12ah & 20ah batteries. Total shipping weight is around 50 lbs. I'm going to post it on Audiogon tomorrow w/ pictures. So if you want it, here's your chance. Retail is $1920, looking to get $1000.
