Loss of Squeezebox Internet Radio?
« on: 11 Jan 2008, 12:47 am »
I haven't listened to internet radio for awhile on my squeezebox. So when I went to listen to my favorites, non of them worked. In fact, I can't get any internet radio stations and all. I tried rebooting the SB but no luck. Stations just time out waiting to connect. I also tried entering a URL for a local station in the Slimserver software as a test. I get the station to stream on my computer but the SB won't pick it up. I have my SB hard wired so it's not a wireless issue. Anyone have this problem before and fixed it?

I had the same problem when I changed my home routing (new FIOS router and wireless setup) around and reinstalled my SB2, but just haven't bothered to debug it.  Seems like it's some setting on my Linux server not pointed to the right place.  Thanks for reminding me.  Hopefully someone will kill two birds with one stone here :)

Well I answered my own question...sort of. My friend Sturgus suggested I log onto SqueezeNetwork which I did and that seemed to unlock the internet radio access. I still can't access internet radio directly from the slimserver menu but I can get to it through Squeezenetwork. This sure is squirrely software. Anyway, thanks Sturg!
