I haven't even got it hooked up yet, as I just got back from dinner. It was sort of an impulse buy: Ultimate had an open box unit at a really good price with the full warranty. I couldn't resist.
I've loved my Pioneer DV-45A, but the only reason I bought it was because Denon hadn't released a universal player back then. I wanted to buy a 2900, as I've heard it rocks, but for $550 for the 2200, I couldn't really afford the extra cash if I'm gonna buy me a new digital amp.
One draw of the Denon units is the bass management for both hirez formats, both done in the digital domain.
I'll be hooking it up after while and settling in with a little MC music...I'll report back my findings.
