Happy New Year to all AKSAphiles!!
« on: 31 Dec 2007, 07:34 am »
Well, folks, that was it, 2007 just went by REAL fast, and now we are back into even numbers.....

I wish all here a happy 2008, with lots of good health and prosperity - and lots of listening to music!!   :drums::  And I particularly thank all those present who supported Aspen in 2007!   :thankyou:

It's presently 40C, that's 104F, and I've built two new Soraya power supplies and fixed a defective module and consumed 1.5 litres of freshly squeezed orange juice!!

Life doesn't get any better than that.....  out tonight with my family for a lovely New Years Eve meal.  I do wish we were all in Times Square, NYC, it must be a pretty light show!

Cheers,

Hugh

Chris,

A very Happy New Year to you and your family!    :bounce: :wine:

Thank you for the post - and the links are sure interesting, aren't they?  This high AUD is not good for business, it erodes the business advantage we Aussies have in the US.

I guess I'll just have to design the best amp in the world, huh?  That's clearly the only way.....   :hyper:

Y'know, I listen to your NY Rave CD all the time now, it's wonderful to assess a system, and Paul's Slavic Soul Party makes my family cringe!!

Cheers,

Hugh

Thank you Kyrill,

It is wonderful to have you, Chris, Marty, and a host of other wonderful personalities on this forum.  Actually, it's more than that, it's a privilege, particularly when I see how vitriolic and nasty DIYaudio can be.....  check out the comments Wavebourn recently made about Wim de Haan's very elegant hybrid amp which features in the latest Elektor - ungracious abuse, and without good reason.

Nasi goreng is good for you, better for you than coq au vin.  My wife Sri loves the Thai rice, she feels it's the best in the world.  But it seems to be best of all if it has little pieces of fried bacon sprinkled through it - not the best moslem food, but we seem to be about as religious as garden snails in our house......

Happy New Year - 37C today, air conditioner going furiously, how long can this outrageous carbon footprint go on for?

Cheers,

Hugh

Right back at you Hugh and the same to everyone else.

The exact direction of my new system is still consuming my time.  I thought I had narrowed it down but other options are now presenting themselves.  Good news is doesn't matter what I look at the Soraya still looks the go - just need my money situation to improve a bit.

Thanks
Bill
