Why 938?

Why 938?

I hope this is not a silly question.Does 938 mean/stand for anything or is it just a random number given to this model?

Not a silly question, but I don't know how it got the number designation.  Perhaps you can ask Hyperion?

I have received a reply from Albert Wu as to why the 938 is so numbered.

As for the 968 the same except 6 is higher level than 3, and you are right if you guess 998 is our final product for the HPS line"  End Quote

I wonder if this indicates a 998 is in the pipelene?
