Probably the first person I've heard say they didn't like it. Must be your system and, preferences. We all have them and, they are not all alike and, they shouldn't be alike. Judging from prior reviews and comments, this particular CD player seemed to be uniformly adored.

Probably too laid back? I think this is a trademark of Consonance players. Some people like, some don't. I have heard this player and think that it is great.
