If the list starts with:

Matt Dusk
Steve Tyrell
Monte Procopio
Bobby Caldwell

what does the rest of the list contain?

Hhhm, rather low turn out.  I thought this would be fun, but, oh well.

LW - Thanks for adding to the list.  :thumb:

From Amazon's "people how purchased this, also purchased these", I discovered Tony DeSare.  Two CDs on order.

The common denominator of the initial list is that these guys are very talented, but not very well known. That is why I left out Micheal Bublé and Harry Connick Jr (I knew that we be added quickly as they are in the same genre, and are very well known).

My goal  with the "list" is to discover great artists that are either not very well known, or add a twist to the typical crooner and jazz genres.  If you are not familiar with Matt Dusk, and you are looking for something new in the Jazz/Crooner category, give his "two shots " a listen.

After i posted the last message i did go look them up and found out they were in the Jazz/Crooner category. I have not explored that style yet. I have Recently started to listen to female jazz vocals so i'm sure ill get around to some i will keep this list in mind as i usually like to travel the the less worn path.

Have you listened to Stacey Kent?   If not, you may want to give her "boy next door" CD a listen.  She has a great voice, perhaps best described as "sweet", with a very retro sound (reminds me of Doris Day for some reason). However, this is not the CD I would take on the "trip to mars".

John, I like the idea and hope you or others will do it again.  I have not heard of your first 4 either so I  could not add to the thread.  I do see this as a good way to check out new music.
