  I hope and wish that everyone is in the best of health and spirits and that everything is well and fine!!!

  Ming Yi Audio has submitted two different items for review in Affordable$$Audio. The first is the Shuguang S-8 and the second is the Aren Audio X-3. Both reviews are excellent and concise. There is a minor problem with the pricing in regards to the Shuguang S-8. The original price of $895 will be honored instead of the listed price of $995 as stated in the body of the article.

  In regards to Shuguang products. There are now several products that have been added such as the Shuguang tubed CD-208 player and the Shuguang 845 tubed mono amplifiers and pre-amplifier.

  In regards to Aren Audio or Arena. This gifted designer has been busy securing his "cult" status with his speakers of eight, ten, and twelve inch woofers.

  (In reference to the above speakers from Aren. Scratch the ten and twelve inch woofers in the lower cabinet. He is still working on the design as he is not happy with the sound. Aren does have in production the eight inch woofer in the lower cabinet. While priced at 5,000 RMB which translates roughly into US$725 to US$750 here in mainland China. These speakers are unbelievable when used with his SET amplifiers.
As to the shipping rates. I have not really explored what our friends at DHL would charge for air shipping. It will probable be more that the cost of the speakers. I am not kidding. From my experience when I shipped electronics via DHL to the states from mainland China the shipping costs were unbelievable high. If anyone has another way to ship please let me know as soon as possible!!!!)


  In addition his power cords and speaker cords add a new dimension to the presentation of the music.
  His X-3 amplifer retails for $699 plus shipping from mainland China with it's stable mates of the X-7 for $1.299 and the X-12 for $1,999. Three watts, seven watts and twelve watts respectively. All SET amplifiers and one of the best values in audio even with the price of shipping from mainland China.

   Just an update about Aren Audio or Arena speakers.  Scratch the ten and twelve inch option at this time. Aren's decision is to continue with just the eight inch woofer offering at this time. He is not satisfied with the results from the bigger woofers and continues on the quest for the best sound!!! 

   Personally!!!  I think that the price of the eight inch speaker is unbelievable. Here in mainland China. This speaker is sold for five thousand RMB and at today's currency in U.S. dollars. Would be in the seven hundred dollar range or a little more.

   Now the killer is the shipping!!!! The last time I shipped thirty kilos back to the United States, by air, it was for three thousand RMB. Not cheap!!! With the speakers weighing in at forty kilos per unit. I really have no idea what it would take to ship to the United States. So if any of you have ANY other methods of transport. Feel free to contact us!!!!
