next stupid question on my bugle pro adventure
« on: 13 Nov 2007, 11:12 am »
Okay, I'm moving slow and don't realize just how little I know until I think I'm ready to get down to the next step. Which would now be attaching the resistors and capacitors to the rotary switches. I actually think I do see this, but I figure I'd better double-check. One lead to each hole, and the other lead goes to a wire at some point right? but, do I need to figure out which lead? (don't shoot me yet, it's bound to get funnier.)

Generally speaking, you're most definitely not alone here. DIY's a complicated and tedious learning experience.

That's comforting, though I suspect I am on the low end of the scale; not only trying to figure out how to read the instructions but also teaching myself beginning electronics bass-ackwards in the process. Anyway, through a little reading I think I've confirmed that these particular parts are not polarity conscious. (whew.) The mechanics will be pure experiment.

In what area? The switches are a tedious piece of work, adding the caps/resistors.all the caps/resistors go to a 'hole' the go to common point at the wire. what i did was to take a left piece of resistor wire, bend it into and arc, then connect the caps to that arc in different spots. The wire went center on the arc then out to the board.
