If Rock n' Roll is a 4 legged table, who is at the 4 legs?

After an extended Listening session with Roy Orbison, I wonder what 4 people from different music directions have had the most influence on rock and roll. I think I have to put Bob Dylan on one of the other legs of the table and then Buddy Holly but the 4th one evades me. I don't think it's Elvis...but maybe?

What's your take?

There has to be some of the 'Floyd' 'Who' 'Moody Blues' movement created by one of the legs of the table.  It depends if you want to say that rock had developed by say 1970, or earlier, say 1960, and if all styles emerged from there, or were simply fusions of blues (Cream, Zepplin), country (Eagles), R&B (Van Morrison), folk (Dylan) with truly classic rock 'n' roll (Rock around the clock, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly a bit later) etc.....  Then there is the whole brittish influence

I'd say it is nearly impossible to define this....  I am thinking hard

I think this table has more than 4 legs! Elvis, Dylan, Stones, Zep, Hendrix,.....
Take any of these out of the picture and the table is not the same one we have today.

Wouldn't you need drums, bass, guitar and keys (OK, two guitars are OK)?

Now who'd you pick?

Four legs?

1. Elvis
2. Fats Domino
3. Buddy Holly
4. Everly Brothers

(Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Little Richard are certainly alternatives to the above)

Late update: Link Wray is near the top as well, younger people may not have heard of him, but everyone has heard his music!

Well, two of the legs have to go to Tina Turner:

As for the others...

Leg Zeppelin?
Kneel Diamond?
Little Feat?
