newbie: OB and 8" coaxials
« on: 5 Nov 2007, 08:54 am »
I'm just finishing my first pair of obs, (pics as soon as I get them wired) and thinking about my next project:
1. follow someone elses proven path to success?
2. cut my own trail and try out a pair of 8" coax speakers

my first pair are incredibly open and clear, but were built with no-name(cheap) drivers, and I spent way too much time on paint and finishing.

various sites have 8" coaxs available with 1" tweeters built in. should I gamble or has someone already tried it?

ps: are there any audio fests in vancouver?

Zippi,

Vancouver what?
Washington, B.C., or Island?
For this year, the answer is: No, Yes and No. For 2008: Yes, No and Yes.

Best Regards,
