Many times you will see VMPS owners asking about or suggesting certain amps they like with VMPS speakers.
Certainly one of the best being B's favorite the AMPZILLA amps from James Bongiorno.
I concur, and have a Son of AMPzilla I use with my system.
However being a NuFORCE dealer also, I would switch back and forth between the NuFORCE Reference 9.02, and the SoA. They certainly sounded different, and each was terrific in the system.
The AMPzilla having a bit more warmth and tubelike, tonal quality, and the NuFORCE having Lightning Fast Dynamic Response, Tight Bass, and hard edges to all the images.
Now comes the New NuFORCE Ref 9, but in a V2 (version 2) model with new circuit boards and "innards".
I have to say that the improvements are moving the two amps much closer together.
If I had to say what the V2 did for the NuFORCE amp, I would sum it up in one word: TONE.
While I wondered what they could do to make their amp better, they did make large strides in an area you might not notice, unless you have the opportunity to hear the difference.
It simply has a more natural and pleasing TONE. It was the very first thing I noticed. The TONE of a guitar, or a trumpet, a violin, or string bass, was now so natural, that you couldn't help but notice, this new "richness" and body.
So long story short, on that long list of great amps to consider for your VMPS speakers, this NuFORCE Ref 9 v2 can now be prominent and considered "on the list".
