Music & Audio shows
« on: 30 Sep 2007, 06:58 am »
Greetings,

Currently I am sitting in my "Lazy-Boy chair" listening to my current system.
Tubes, push pull, driven by a DEQX, and I have had a few beers, "Samuel Smith Organic Tadcaster"!
Bear with my beer babble.

I'm listening to "Neil Young, at Massey Hall", excellent! It's 3:00 am and this is what it's all about.
I have assembled a time machine, as we audiophiles, all are doing. I'm in the audience at Massey Hall in 1971! Doing some A B testing with presets, very subtle stuff. Is there enough sheen on that cymbal, does that guitar have the right amount of "snap". The sound is excellent, very 3D.

I look forward to seeing all of the Audio Circle people at RMAF. :thumb:

Best Wishes,

Gage

Saw the show :), Neil was an acoustic fixture on Yorkville Ave in TO, a ten minute walk to Massy Hall, excellent acoustics until Blue Oyster Cult and Wishbone Ash played way to loud and shook the foundations apart, it never quite sounded the same after the retrofit and revovations, still a great venue.

My favourite show at Massy hall was the first full Genesis show, the sound was perfect, so was the hmmmm, atmosphere. Will want to get that Neil show too, and a few beers.
