« on: 8 Feb 2008, 11:51 pm »
Would like to rebuild the crossovers in my speakers and need some advice on the best "bang for buck" capacitors for the crossover...Just want to upgrade the "bennic" caps that are in there now...Would like the sound to be more detailed, but also smooth...Any suggestions??? Price is important...
Thanks... :thumb:

"Bang for Buck" caps are only NOS caps picked up on ebay like West-Cap, Gudeman or VitaminQ... Sonicap capacitors are good for replacement of x-overs in speakers and cheap too (I had in my VR1 for a couple months then replaced with NOS caps). Friend of mine told me Mundorf Silver/Oil caps are best in x-over. Good luck.

I second the Sonicaps, not that expensive,(depending on the size), and a nice improvement for me.
