Hi,

I am the owner of  a Moscode 401HR power amp. The amp had been left on last night. This morning I noticed there was no sound when I went to play a record.  I went through and made sure all connections were right.  I then noticed that the two outside tubes (6H30 tubes) were not lit on the Moscode.  The inside two tubes were lit.  I then powered off the Moscode and turned it back it on.  It did not do it's normal warm up with the logo flashing and no sound.


I even tried a different set of 6H30 tubes thinking it may have been a tube problem, but the same thing happened.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be?  Possibly one of the fuses?

Interesting, I've left mine on for days before and never an issue.  I'd check the fuse as a starting point, you got spares with the amp...does the front illuminate when you power it up and just doesn't flash for the warm up period?  Check to make sure you have it set for whatever type cable you're using and the switch on the back is in stereo....

Sorry that the amplifier is being bothersome. I have had that happen
to me once and it turned out to be a transistor socket issue.

Wow!!  Thanks for quick replies.  Got an email from George McKay and he said to send to send the unit in for repair.  I did open up the amp and the fuses appeared to be OK.

Talk about great service, I received replies form Moscode on a Sunday morning within 1 hour.  Kudos!!!
