I moved my speakers around, and now the speakers meant for hometheater (Sony STRDA777ES) are sitting in my listening room (Candela/Khartago). The speakers have a powered sub that take hi-level speaker input from the amp, and also line level from the preamp. The candela doesn't have sub out, so i have to feed the sub using the hi-level input. The speaker has a biwire terminal cup that is shorted. So instead of running a wire from the amp, is it ok to run a wire from the unused terminal to sub?
When i did so, the output level was very low. I could barely feel the woofers moving. I adjusted the volume level and the crossover but still the output is very low. When it was connected to the line input from the receiver, the bass output was great.
